MOQ is a project variable
A minimum order quantity is rarely useful as a standalone number. The product format, retail pack, printed components, sampling stage and destination market can all change the commercial discussion. Ask for guidance against the actual brief rather than treating one published number as a universal promise.
Separate samples from production
A sample request and a first production run answer different questions. Samples help compare flavor direction, format and preparation. Production planning also needs the intended pack arrangement, artwork route, quantity range and target launch window.
- Existing blend or custom direction
- Individual sachets, pouch or another format
- Estimated quantity range
- Destination market and sales channel
Ask what changes the quotation
A useful supplier response should explain which choices affect the quote: product selection, packaging components, print treatment, order quantity, delivery terms and any document review required for the destination market.
Keep the first brief honest
If the quantity or launch date is not decided, say so. A clear exploratory brief gives the supplier room to recommend a suitable starting point without turning an early estimate into a final commercial commitment.
This guide provides general commercial orientation. Confirm the current product specification, certificate scope and destination-market requirements before final artwork or purchase decisions.
